Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the 3 day long World Food India Event

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the mega food event World Food India. Prime Minister Modi will distribute initial capital assistance to more than 1 lakh SHGs. This three-day event, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is being organized at the Bharat Mandapam of Pragati Maidan, in which more than 1,200 exhibitors and participants from more than 80 countries will participate. Prime Minister Modi will also distribute working capital assistance to the members of more than 1 lakh self-help groups for this program. Apart from this, the PM will also inaugurate the Food Street. Let us tell you that many pavilions have been set up to show the rich Indian food culture to the world. Around 50 interactive sessions will also be organized on various aspects of the food processing industry. This program will end on 5th November.


PM Modi will also distribute cooperation capital

During this, PM Modi will distribute initial capital support to more than one lakh SHG members to empower self-help groups. The PMO said that this support will help SHGs achieve better value in the market through superior packaging and quality manufacturing.

In fact, the main goal of this program is to showcase India as the 'food basket of the world'. Besides, the year 2023 is also to be celebrated as the International Year of Millets. The event will provide a networking and business platform for government bodies, industry professionals, farmers, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders to engage in discussions, establish partnerships and explore investment opportunities in the agri-food sector.


Foreign buyers will also be present

Various pavilions have been set up to showcase innovation and its potential in the Indian food processing industry. Along with this, 48 ​​sessions will also be organized within the event to focus on quality assurance, financial stability and innovation in machinery and technology. More than 1200 foreign buyers from more than 80 countries will participate in the World Food India program. The Netherlands will act as organizing partner of the event. Also, Japan will be the focus of the program.
